Can I use any USB-C power adapter?
To ensure that your power adapter is compatible with VOLT 55, make sure it meets the following specs:
• The power adapter must support Power Delivery 3.0 or newer.
• Must support Power Delivery 3.0 or newer.
• Must be capable of delivering 65W from a single USB-C port.
• Must support Power Delivery 3.0 or newer.
• Must be capable of delivering 65W from a single USB-C port.
These specs are the minimum requirements; if your power adapter exceeds these specs, you can also use it with VOLT 55.
Can I use any USB Cable?
VOLT 55 requires a USB-C to USB-C cable rated for a minimum of 65W.
• If your cable is rated for more than 65W, you can use it with VOLT 55.
• If your cable is rated for less than 65W, or if you are unsure of its specs, do not use it with VOLT 55.
• If your cable is USB-A to USB-C, it will not be able to power VOLT 55.
Can I use any USB-C powerbank?
To ensure that your powerbank is compatible with VOLT 55, make sure it meets the following specs:
• Must be capable of delivering 65W from a single USB-C port.
• Must be capable of delivering 20V 3.25A from a single USB-C port.
When powered by a powerbank, the available playtime will vary based on the powerbank's capacity and your system's size. To estimate the available playtime, please refer to the graph above.
Can I keep playing while the powerbank is charging?
Yes, you can power VOLT55 with your powerbank and play while it charges.
You can use this setup during your system's pre-heat to keep the powerbank full.
This system can also be useful for using a powerbank as a backup battery in case of power outages or if you are in an area where the power is unstable.
Can I connect several devices on the same USB power-source?
Yes, you can connect multiple devices to the same USB power source as VOLT 55, but we do not recommend this configuration.
If you connect multiple devices to the same power source, you may experience power fluctuations in your devices each time a device is connected or disconnected from the power source.
If you want to power USB devices like a Beatstep Pro or a Launchpad Pro, we recommend using the USB-A ports available on the frontplate of VOLT 55.
Can I use a USB hub?
To ensure that your USB hub is compatible with VOLT 55, make sure it meets the following specs:
• Must be capable of delivering 65W from a single USB-C port.
• Must be capable of delivering 20V 3.25A from a single USB-C port.
• The USB hub must be connected to a device capable of delivering the specifications mentioned above.
Can I power other USB devices with it?
Yes, you can connect other USB devices directly from the 3 USB-A ports available on the front plate of VOLT 55.
These connectors can be used to power devices such as a Beatstep Pro, Launchpad Pro, LED lights, or any other USB devices.
The current that can power USB devices is limited to a maximum of 2A.
Apple devices (iPhone, iPad) are currently not supported.
What happen to my system if the power source is not compatible or not powerful enough?
If your power source does not meet one of the following specifications, VOLT 55 will not be powered:
• Your power source does not support Power Delivery 3.0 or newer.
• Your device is not capable of delivering 20V through Power Delivery.
If your power source meets the above specifications but is not capable of delivering 65W through a single USB-C connector, the maximum power that VOLT 55 can deliver will be limited to the maximum power that your power source can provide on this USB-C connector.
If your system is underpowered, you may experience unusual behavior in your system, like modules not functioning properly.
